June is Bustin' Out with Flowers Blog Hop

Flowers are in bloom as the warm summer air dances lightly across the yards and fields and this blog hop is all about the flowers. Please join this creative bunch as they show off their creations with flowers.

Jearise from Lorby's World is our hostess and make sure you begin at her site and read carefully because she will have a give away going on with this hop and all the details are on her blog.

Now flower power away...

My inspiration was from a make-n-take I was  teaching this past weekend at the Clear Scraps booth at the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Las Vegas.

Believe it or not, this is actually a dry erase board.

I simply stamped onto the acrylic with StazOn ink.

I added a colored background paper from Little Yellow Bicycle behind the white paper and then added coordinating flowers from the sticker pack.

An orange ribbon from a packet from the impulse aisle finished it off!

Now I only need to add a piece of Velcro to attach a dry erase pen!

Thank you for stopping to smell the flowers and down the path to Lissa Marie.

Precious One

This is a photo my daughter caught of her husband holding my grandson Ezekiel.

The idea was that Ezekiel would be napping....well..at least one of them was napping! LOL

I fell in love with this photo on sight and KNEW I had to scrap it.

First off I brought the original photo into Photoshop and essentially fiddly-farted with it by desaturating it a bit.

Then off I went in search of just the right paper and decorative touches from my stash.

Once I laid out my elements it still needed "something." I then went in search through my SVG files and found this "Love" frame in my wedding files.

I then went in search of another photo to put inside the frame and desaturated it as well to continue the theme.

I added a little journaling block in peach and the green ribbon for a pop of color.

I’ve also entered this in a the June Two Pic Challenge at www.scrapbook.com.

I hope you all enjoy it.
